taco™ Nucleic Acid Extraction Reagent products are specially designed for use with the taco™/taco™mini Automated Nucleic Acid Extraction System. The assays adopt advanced magnetic separation technology where homogenized sample cells are lysed and nucleic acids are conjugated by means of silica-coated magnetic beads. Subsequently a Wash Buffer is applied to remove impurities, as well as an Elution Buffer to recover nucleic acids from the magnetic beads after several serial wash steps. The products can extract nucleic acid from whole blood, buffy coat, as well as animal tissues and cells from homogenized methods and verified user data for research purposes.
